Forward Ed Davis chooses UNC

started watching UNC basketball games on TV when he was 6 years old. Now a 6-foot-8, 215-pound power forward at Richmond Benedictine High, Davis said he plans to join the team of his boyhood dreams for the 2008-09 season. He announced his decision Wednesday, picking the Tar Heels over Virginia and Connecticut. Ranked No. 2 in the nation among high school power forwards, Davis adds more clout to a UNC recruiting class that already includes point guard Jr. of California. (Raleigh News & Observer)
