N.C. State's Jordan Vandenberg out four to six weeks with ankle sprain

N.C. State announced Friday that 7-foot-1 center Jordan Vandenberg, who started his team's exhibition opener Wednesday but was injured five minutes into the game, is expected to miss four to six weeks with a Grade 3 ankle sprain. Vandenberg, a redshirt senior, fell to the ground and grabbed his left ankle with the Wolfpack leading 13-7 in its 96-85 victory against UNC-Pembroke.
