Larry Fedora remains a step ahead of NC State. For the second straight season, Fedora beat rival NC State, and this time he did it in Raleigh. It was UNC's first win in Carter-Finley Stadium since 2005, and Fedora became just one of four coaches to beat NC State twice in his first two tries. The Pack are still winless in conference play in the first season under Dave Doeren.
