Deon Thompson Stars As USA U19 Team Wins Again

David Lighty (Ohio State) and Deon Thompson (North Carolina) combined for 36 points as the 2007 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team (4-0) opened up second round play with a 90-81 victory over Lithuania at the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship on Monday night in Novi Sad, Serbia. Thompson was in the starting lineup for the USA and scored 17 points, hitting 7 of 11 field goal attempts in 21 minutes.
