The Tar Heels are now 92-12 in season openers and 97-7 in home openers. North Carolina made 23 of 31 shots and converted 74.2 percent from the floor in the opening half, the highest field goal percentage in any half in Roy Williams's 11 years as UNC's head coach. The previous best was 74.1 percent in the first half against Florida Atlantic on Dec. 19, 2006.
