Stopping the Run

Virginia’s primary source of offense this season has come on the ground. That approach played out once again on the Cavaliers' opening drive before UNC’s run defense clamped down en route to a 45-14 victory. Virginia churned out 37 rushing yards on its opening drive before punting away. It would take the Cavaliers another nine possessions and 35:59 of game time to match that rushing total.
