UNC holds off Holy Cross for 62-54 win

One good run in the middle of the second half was enough to let UNC dodge a purple bullet Friday night. led the way with a career-high 23 points as No. 12 UNC held off scrappy Holy Cross 62-54 in the first round of the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament at the Smith Center. came off the bench for 12 points while added 11 for UNC.
