Posted Nov 15, 2013
One good run in the middle of the second half was enough to let UNC dodge a purple bullet Friday night. Marcus Paige led the way with a career-high 23 points as No. 12 UNC held off scrappy Holy Cross 62-54 in the first round of the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament at the Smith Center. Brice Johnson came off the bench for 12 points while James Michael McAdoo added 11 for UNC.
