Eric Ebron Named Mackey Award Semifinalist

The Friends of John Mackey has announced eight semifinalists for the 2013 John Mackey Award, and North Carolina junior Eric Ebron is among the candidates. Ebron is in the midst of the finest tight end season in UNC history, as his 49 catches and 763 yards are both single-season school records. Ebron also has three touchdowns and is averaging 76 yards per game.
