Obama praises Dean Smith at White House ceremony


President Barack Obama had high praise for former North Carolina basketball coach on Wednesday, honoring the Tar Heels coach for his courage off the court and his spectacular career with UNC. Obama noted that Smith was the first coach to use multiple defenses in a game and the first to insist that players who scored to acknowledge the teammate who passed the ball. (WNCN)
