Heading into this past Saturday's game at Pittsburgh, fifth-year senior defender Terry Shankle had been something of an afterthought on the Tar Heel roster. He had played in five of UNC's nine prior games before going to the Steel City, with just 11 tackles. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
