Thompson Named to USA Team

UNC rising sophomore Deon Thompson was one of 12 players selected at the USA Basketball U19 World Championship Trials in Dallas, Texas for the USA U19 squad. The team will represent the United States in the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship that will be held July 12-22 in Novi Sad, Serbia. DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright, who served as an assistant for the 2006 USA U18 National Team, will lead the 2007 USA U19 World Championship Team. (Inside Carolina)
