Deon Thompson Earns Spot On Under 19 National Team

UNC sophomore forward Deon Thompson has been named to the USA Under 19 team, USA Basketball announced on Saturday. Thompson is one of 12 members of the team that will represent the United States in the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship that will be held July 12-22 in Novi Sad, Serbia. USA Basketball named its team by selecting from 18 players who participated in the USA Basketball U19 World Championship Trials in Dallas, Texas.
