Giovani Bernard a patient, lethal back

Posted Dec 9, 2013
Giovani Bernard is a gloved hand, waiting for a magic trick. In the second quarter of Cincinnati’s 42-28 win over the Colts, the rookie took a short pass over the middle and turned it into a 22-yard gain suitable for framing. He said of the play, “I could hear number 50 say, ‘Oh, crap.’ Then 51 said, ‘You’re a shifty dude.’” That would be Indy linebackers, who chased Bernard all day, and mostly boxed shadows.
