While North Carolina had adapted well without perimeter threats P.J. Hairston and Leslie McDonald, who continue to be sidelined due to an NCAA investigation, there is one area where their absence is impossible to miss. With an average of 2.9 3-pointers per game, North Carolina ranks 345th out of the 345 Division I teams listed on the NCAA’s stats website when it comes to shots made from beyond the arc.
