Roy Williams wanted to take a page from famed U.S. Olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks by scheduling a practice after the No. 14 Tar Heels lost 86-83 to Texas on Wednesday. UNC players, however, were spared by NCAA rules — at least for a few hours. After an ugly first-half performance and an uglier free throw performance against Texas, the Heels likely will feel Williams’ wrath this morning.
