Alex White likely starter for finals

North Carolina coach Mike Fox said he hasn't given a whole lot of thought as to who his starting pitcher will be against Oregon State on Saturday in the first game of the College World Series Finals. But the "logical choice," he said, is freshman Alex White. "He's a starter that's rested, and so we didn't throw him a whole lot in the bullpen," Fox said after the Tar Heels beat Rice 7-4 on Thursday to advance.
