Though the Bearcats came into the game with a much better record at 9-3 and a defense that ranked among the nation’s leaders in rushing and total defense, to a man UNC was convinced it was the better team Saturday. It proved it emphatically on the field, doing everything it needed to do in all three phases of the game to dominate the scoreboard, if not the stat sheet.
