Joel Berry surpasses 2,000 career points

Lake Highland's Joel Berry eclipsed 2,000 points in a 62-54 victory over host Tampa Berkeley Prep in the Berkeley Prep Invitational championship game. Berry now has 2,008 career points as a Highlander. "Joel is an absolute wonderful basketball player," Lake Highland coach Jason Vallery said. "When called upon he steps up offensively. He leads our team in assists, rebounds and steals." Berry reached the 2,000 plateau on a layup early in the fourth quarter.
