Against the most prolific run-scoring team remaining in the 2007 College World Series, North Carolina starter Luke Putkonen tossed a gem on Tuesday, as the Tar Heels eliminated Louisville by way of a 3-1 decision. The win set a UNC record for most in a season, and facilitated a rematch with Rice Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST (ESPN2).
