Roy Williams defends players, calls CNN report untrue and ‘totally unfair’

Roy Williams said Wednesday night that he feels “mentally, probably worse than I’ve ever felt as a head coach.” And his team’s ugly 63-57 loss to Miami at the Smith Center was only part of the reason he was so down. A day earlier, CNN published a report in which a former UNC employee claimed that she worked with a Tar Heel basketball player that “couldn’t read or write.” (Wilmington Star News)
