Randy White Commits to UNC
Posted Jun 20, 2007
North Carolina’s three-day camp resulted in the Tar Heels’ first verbal commitment of the 2008 class – Randy White, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound jumbo athlete from Bristol (Va.) Virginia High. On Friday morning, White, his father, and his coach Terry Smith met with Butch Davis. “At 8 a.m. we all met in Coach Davis’ office and they offered Randy a scholarship,” said Smith. “They didn’t put any pressure or anything like that on us.” Despite the lack of pressure, White immediately jumped at the opportunity.
