Smothered in Syracuse

The Tar Heels’ inability to knock down shots from the perimeter against No. 2 Syracuse’s 2-3 matchup zone, as well as a failure to control the boards, resulted in a 57-45 loss. In falling to 0-3 in the ACC for the first time since the 1996-97 season, UNC paired a lack of perimeter shooting with an absence of post scoring to score the fewest points of the era.
