Numbers flatter Virginia Tech after 10 ACC football seasons

The Hokies were 15-11 combined and finished outside the national polls in consecutive years for the first time since 1991 and ’92. Yet while the dip is undeniable and cause for action – head coach Frank Beamer and his overhauled staff appear to be recruiting more aggressively and effectively – the program’s just-completed 10th season in the ACC offers a convenient opportunity for perspective.
