Mike Cavasinni sat dazed in Chapel Hill's UNC Hospitals emergency room one afternoon in early February, his left eye badly bruised and bleeding, several bones in his face shattered by a baseball. A terrifying thought swirled through his mind: "Will I ever be able to see again?" Thirty minutes earlier, Cavasinni stood in the batter's box at Boshamer Stadium.
