This wasn't how Kendall Marshall envisioned his NBA career going. The second-year point guard is breaking out with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 10.6 points and 9.2 assists a game in 13 games since signing a contract with the injury-depleted Lakers. But as a lottery pick from storied North Carolina, Marshall has taken a journey that is anything but conventional.
