Joel Berry scores 39 to lead Lake Highland Prep into 4A title game

Joel Berry poured in 39 points, 19 from the free throw line, and Lake Highland Prep roared from behind to beat Tampa Berkeley Prep 80-69 in a Class 4A state semifinal on Tuesday night. The top-ranked Highlanders (27-4), shooting for a repeat championship, will play in Wednesday's 8:05 p.m. final at the Lakeland Center. No play was more efficient that Berry working off ball screens to attack the basket and draw fouls. He was 19-of-24 from the line.
