Tar Heels edge Catamounts to advance


delivered a two-run single with two outs in the ninth inning as the top-seeded UNC baseball team rallied for a 6-5 victory over No. 3 seed Western Carolina at Boshamer Stadium to win the Chapel Hill Regional championship. UNC (51-12), the No. 3 national seed in the NCAA Tournament, will host South Carolina in the super regionals beginning Friday at Boshamer Stadium. Game times will be determined later this week.
