No pain, no gain: Wooten great in tourney despite chipped tooth
Posted Jun 5, 2007
UNC's baseball team had just clinched a berth in the super regionals for the second year in a row, and Rob Wooten played a major role in the accomplishment. But his reaction was somewhat subdued. As Wooten spoke, he flashed a smile featuring the reason for his late arrival to the postgame celebration: a broken front tooth. He suffered the injury when he collided with teammate Reid Fronk during the chaos that ensued following UNC's 11-10 victory over East Carolina on Saturday.
