Robert Woodard laid it on the line for eight innings, then watched reliever Rob Wooten add the finishing touch to Carolina's second shutout in its last three games by striking out the side in the ninth. That puts the No. 3-ranked Tar Heels (49-12) back at Boshamer Stadium today at 5 p.m., with Alex White going against Dustin Sasser and East Carolina (40-21), which edged Western Carolina 9-8 on Friday.
