A Fading Finish For UNC
Posted Mar 23, 2014
Four minutes stood between UNC and a NCAA-record 32nd Sweet 16 appearance. Holding an eight-point lead and the ball, the Tar Heels faltered as No. 3 seed Iowa State closed the game on a 17-7 run to advance with an 85-83 victory. While the final 1.6 seconds will endure heavy scrutiny in the weeks to come, it was the previous 231 seconds that cemented UNC’s 2013-14 season.
