Tommy Heffernan Seeking Medical Waiver

Linebacker Tommy Heffernan's UNC career has come to an end due to injury, according to sources close to the situation. The Miami, Fla. native is in the process of finalizing paperwork for a medical exemption to remain on scholarship as a student. Head coach Larry Fedora was unable to confirm the news when asked Wednesday after practice. (Inside Carolina)
