Danny Manning Accepts Wake Forest Job

Wake Forest’s long suspenseful wait is over. Danny Manning has accepted the job as the Deacons’ head basketball coach. Manning told Athletics Director Ron Wellman of Wake Forest early Friday morning that he will leave Tulsa to lead Wake Forest’s basketball program, according to multiple sources who asked not to be identified. Manning’s answer concluded a search that stretched over more than two weeks and several states.
