Top-ranked North Carolina got four goals apiece from Abbey Friend and Maggie Bill and defeated second-ranked Maryland, 17-15, on Saturday at Fetzer Field. The Tar Heels went on a 5-0 run to start the second half and take control of the game after trailing 10-9 at halftime. Carolina bounced back from Monday's loss at Northwestern by winning its 16th game in its last 17 outings.
