ESPN college basketball analyst Digger Phelps is retiring

It’s time to put away the highlighters. Digger Phelps, who joined ESPN in 1993 and has been one of the best-known analysts on the network, announced he was retiring on Monday. In his announcement, Phelps alluded to his 20-year career as a coach at Notre Dame saying “20 years has been my target for everything”, according to ESPN spokeswoman Keri Potts.
