Tar Heels hammer Wolfpack
Posted May 25, 2007
It took UNC senior Robert Woodard four innings Thursday night to find his groove, which happened to coincide with the arrival of his teammates' offensive support at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The second-seeded Tar Heels broke a tie score with a five-run fourth inning and pulled away for a 14-5 victory over the rival N.C. State Wolfpack, snapping a six-game ACC Tournament losing streak. It was UNC's third victory in four games against N.C. State this season.
