Edrice Adebayo Claims UNC Offer

2016 5-star power forward Edrice Adebayo (aka "Bam Bam") from Pinetown, NC (Northside HS) received a scholarship offer from on Thursday, according to Adebayo's Twitter account.

If the offer is confirmed, Adebayo becomes the second power forward in UNC's 2016 basketball recruiting class to receive an offer, joining Scout.com's No. 1 overall prospect . Here's a short video of the two going head-to-head at Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge last Summer (Adebayo in blue, Giles in white).

Adebayo is still considered to be a little raw offensively, but he possesses a nice shooting touch and compensates for his unpolished offense with outstanding length, athleticism, and defense. Adebayo also runs the floor well, which fits in nicely with ' up-tempo system.

Scout.com rates Adebayo as the No. 16 overall prospect in the 2016 class and the No. 4 power forward. He also holds offers from NC State, Cincinnati, and Virginia Tech but appears to be very high on the Tar Heels at this point.
