Football helped Lions' Eric Ebron get back on track after death of his grandfather

His grandfather was his confidant and best friend, the man who called every morning just to say hi, the fatherly figure who taught him about life after his parents divorced, the World War II veteran who bought him a scooter one Christmas when times were tough. And when he died a decade ago, he left Eric Ebron feeling adrift in the world looking for something to latch onto.
