Plaque seals Dean Smith's legacy at Topeka High

The timing was purely coincidental, yet it couldn’t have been any better. On the same week that the 60th anniversary of the landmark 1954 Brown v. Topeka Board of Education Supreme Court case was being commemorated, a plaque was dedicated Thursday at Topeka High School honoring one of its most distinguished graduates, former UNC basketball coach Dean Smith.
