After getting past NC State in an ACC Tournament play-in game, Carolina dropped a 7-1 decision to Florida State on Wednesday. The second-seeded Seminoles used a four-run fourth inning and a terrific start from left-hander Billy Strode to put the Tar Heels away. But Carolina has games Friday against Virginia and Saturday against Maryland to try to improve their NCAA Tournament résumé. (GoHeels.com)
