Heels reward Roy Williams
Posted May 18, 2007
Roy Williams solidified his position as North Carolina's highest-paid coach with a four-year contract extension, announced Thursday. The deal, worth an average of about $2.6 million annually through 2014-15, keeps him among the highest-paid basketball coaches in the country as well. The contract trumps the $1.86 million-a-year deal signed by new football coach Butch Davis six months ago.
