Tar Heels head to Gainesville as underdog

Despite the Tar Heels finishing their season nearly one loss away from starting summer vacation early, they’re in the 64-team NCAA Tournament field. Their underdog mentality cultivated throughout an unusual season plays to their advantage, a willingness to do whatever it takes to stay alive. “I think it’s the mantra of the season,” sophomore Skye Bolt said.
