Hakeem Nicks overcame rough family life to excel in football

Hakeem Nicks agrees to share the story of how he became a game-breaking NFL wide receiver. By the time he's done, you realize the term "story" doesn't quite cover it. For Nicks, a 2009 first-round pick of the New York Giants gearing up for his first season with the Indianapolis Colts, "journey" seems so much more appropriate. After all, this tale has more twists than Nicks' best double-move deep route.
