Houston Texans release quarterback T.J. Yates
Posted Jun 17, 2014
True to his word, Texans coach Bill O’Brien got down to three quarterbacks before training camp. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Texans have released T.J. Yates. Yates played in an emergency role in 2011 when the Texans were good, and he was decidedly OK. But he fell behind Case Keenum last year, and never made up the ground under a new administration.
