Dennis Smith, Jr. Talks UNC Offer
Posted Jun 24, 2014
Dennis Smith Jr. visited UNC Tuesday and received an offer from Roy Williams. "I'm glad to have it," Smith told CarolinaBlue. "I've been waiting a long time for it. I feel like I deserved it." The 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect out of Fayetteville (NC) is ranked as the No. 1 point guard in the 2016 class by 247Sports. Smith said that UNC head coach Roy Williams told him about coming in and playing for him right away. "He (Williams) said I'm a pure point guard. I get my teammates involved and I can score. I can push (the ball)."
