P.J. Hairston is an NBA-ready shooter who plays above-average defense and has the size to make an immediate impact. In all those ways, he’s just what the Charlotte Hornets need. They have the ninth and 24th picks in Thursday’s NBA draft and have shown interest in Hairston. The questions aren’t whether he’s physically ready – but whether he’s mature enough to overcome his troubled past.
