Brad Stevens, Tyler Zeller connect

As close as he is to the Zellers of Washington, Ind., Brad Stevens’ timing with the family has always been off. As a Butler assistant coach, Stevens attempted to recruit Luke Zeller, who instead chose Notre Dame and went on to play for the Phoenix Suns. Stevens never made a pitch to North Carolina-bound Tyler Zeller, thinking he didn’t have a chance at the 7-footer.
