UNC commit Tommy Hatton wins one-on-one MVP at The Opening
Posted Jul 15, 2014
Tommy Hatton, St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) offensive center, earned the one-on-one MVP award at The Opening, following a standout performance at Nike Headquarters. The 6-2, 285-pounder slowly worked his way into the event but turned it on once the shoulder pads came on, over the two final days of competition. "The first day when we had no pads, I think I did alright. I had a pretty strong performance, but once we put the pads on, I kind of cut it loose."
