Nazair Jones Thriving in Second Chance

On Nov. 4, 2011, Nazair Jones played in Roanoke Rapids High School’s 2A state playoff loss to North Johnston. Two days later, the promising defensive line prospect couldn’t walk. Jones, now a redshirt freshman defensive tackle at UNC, remembers the weekend vividly. After redshirting his freshman season in 2013, Jones has exploded up the depth chart and is slated to start the season opener.
