ACC football has plenty to brag about

While the ACC is largely perceived as a basketball conference, and a very good one, its resident boss is a dyed-in-the-wool football guy. John Swofford played quarterback for his high school in the western mountains of North Carolina and moved on to a gridiron career at UNC. He fought diligently to keep the ACC relevant at the national football level and enhance the league’s stature.
