The visiting Flames were held to only 106 total yards in the second half. More importantly, the newly aggressive Tar Heels took the ball away five times – including three during a game-breaking flurry that saw UNC score four touchdowns in just 3:49 to turn a close game into a rout. Linebacker Jeff Schoettmer had the biggest play of the night with an interception that turned into a 19-yard touchdown.
